I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a degree in Fine Arts, and a concentration in Jewelry and Metals. Upon graduation I received the College’s Distinguished Art Award.
After graduation, the detail, planning and execution of my metal work sculptures helped me transition into a career as a graphic artist. After working in graphics for a couple of decades I returned to my fine arts roots creating landscape and still life paintings using watercolor, acrylic, pastel and oils.
I find inspiration in the austere and rugged beauty of the Adirondack mountains where I live. I also find inspiration every summer in the transcendent beauty of flowers. I grew up on a small organic farm in Duanesburg NY where I was surrounded by flower gardens. I often painted and planted flowers. I still plant and paint them and as I constantly try to capture their unique shapes and colors.
